Suzanne & Adam

Last fall I had the pleasure of going to Nantucket to cover Suzanne and Adam's wedding. The ceremony was on the beach and the reception was in the Nantucket Whaling Museum.

They did a wonderful job of incorporating local details such as cranberries in the centerpieces and whale lollipops as favors. It was great to see an event that truly celebrated the event as well as the location.

Kids and their Adults

I love taking pictures of kids. Eric always jokes that when I worked in newspaper I was on the "cute kid beat." There is something very special about their interactions that I really enjoy photographing.

Pic Tip: Kids are trained at a very early age to give a super forced smile whenever there is a camera around. If you want a more natural moment, just be patient. Kids get used to the camera very quickly. Just hang back and shoot away!

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of kids and their adults:

USA TODAY - Ebenezer Baptist Church

I had a picture on the front page of USA TODAY on January 19.

USA TODAY did a story about the last four places Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached and revisited them the day before President Obama was inaugurated. I spent the morning at the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.

I'm so glad I finally went to Ebenezer. It was an inclusive and progressive service. Plus, the music was incredible.

Read the story.

Here are some of my favorite images from the morning:
