USA TODAY - Weight Loss Winner

I had a picture in the Life section of USA TODAY today. I met Rae Goodman, one of the featured dieters, who lost 90 pounds. I photographed her during her final wedding dress fitting at Bridal Sense. I had a great time with her and her mother and she looked spectacular in her dress. She is getting married this weekend in St. Thomas, Congratulations Rae!

This weekend, I got to shoot again with one of my favorite clients, the Schwartz family. Their daughter, Rachel, had her Bat Mitzvah at Etz Chaim in Marietta.

Vietnam

I got to do some amazing things when I worked in newspapers. One of the coolest was when the Gainesville Times and First Baptist Church (Gainesville) sent me to Vietnam in November 2007.

The trip was coordinated by Rivers of the World, a non-profit which provides support to remote communities in river basins around the world. The purpose of the trip was to distribute disaster aid and visit orphanages they support.

The main story I focused on was a homecoming. Joe Tu, a minister at First Baptist, returned back to Vietnam after 32 years to see the family he had left behind when he fled after the war.

Here are a couple of my favorite pics from the trip:
