The trip was coordinated by Rivers of the World, a non-profit which provides support to remote communities in river basins around the world. The purpose of the trip was to distribute disaster aid and visit orphanages they support.
The main story I focused on was a homecoming. Joe Tu, a minister at First Baptist, returned back to Vietnam after 32 years to see the family he had left behind when he fled after the war.
